Arginine is originally required through the dietary intake when the body is in the primary growth period. Afterwards, the body is able to produce enough arginine required for proper health. It can be found in two forms, l-arginine and d-arginine. The former is more compatible with the human body and is the form that is found as an ingredient in creatine and other strength gain supplements. No recommended daily allowance has been established for arginine.
