(1/3 cup) almond oil, or canola oil
(1/4 cup) packed dark brown sugar
(1 Tbsp.) ground cinnamon

(5 cups) rolled oats (not quick-cooking)
(1 cup) toasted wheat germ
(1 cup) whole almonds, coarsely chopped
(1/2 cup) sunflower seeds
(1 cup) dried cranberries, divided

Berry Maple Granola
Dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, almonds and oats with a sticky-sweet maple coating.

Instructions
1Place oven racks in top and bottom positions, then preheat oven to 325°F. Spray 2 large baking sheets with cooking spray.
2Place a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add apple juice, maple syrup, oil and brown sugar, whisk to combine.
3Allow to simmer, stirring every few minutes, then take off the heat and add cinnamon and salt.
4In a large bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, almonds and sunflower seeds. Add juice and toss. Divide evenly between baking sheets and spread into even layers.
5Bake 15 minutes, stirring halfway through and switching placement. Bake another 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks, add 1/2 cup cranberries to each mixture. Serve when cool.
