  • (2 Tbsp.) half-and-half cream
  • (1/4 tsp.) ground cinnamon
  • (1/4 tsp.) vanilla extract
  • (1 tsp.) canola oil
  • (1 tsp.) confectioners' sugar

Strawberry Banana French Toastwiches

A healthier spin on stuffed french toast, fresh fruit is layered between thick French bread and coated in a creamy spiced egg mixture.

    Instructions

  1. 1Combine strawberries and bananas in a small bowl. Top 2 slices of bread with 1/4 cup fruit and other 2 bread slices.
  2. 2Heat a griddle to medium heat. Add oil.
  3. 3Beat together egg, cream, cinnamon and vanilla in a shallow dish. Coat sandwiches on both sides. Grill 6-10 minutes, flipping once halfway through.

  4. 4Serve with confectioners' sugar and fruit on top. Enjoy!
