Turkey Taco Chili

Ingredients:
  • (2 Tbsp.) canola oil
  • (2 1/2 lb.) lean ground turkey
  • (2 1-oz. packages) taco seasoning
  • (2 tsp.) ground coriander
  • (2 tsp.) dried oregano
  • (1 tsp.) chili pepper flakes (optional)
  • (2 cups) low-sodium chicken broth
  • (2 cups) mild salsa
  • (4 cups) canned, crushed tomatoes in puree
  • (7 oz. can) chopped green chili peppers
  • (1 large) onion, finely chopped
  • (2) green bell peppers, diced
  • (5 medium) zucchinis, halved lengthwise and sliced
  • (1 1/4 cups) shredded, reduced-fat Jack or cheddar cheese
  • (1 bunch) green onions, chopped
  • (1 1/4 cups) fat-free sour cream
  • (1 large) avocado, peeled, pitted and diced

Turkey Taco Chili

An easy, one-skillet turkey chili with everything you love about tacos- spices, fresh toppings and lots of cheese!

    Instructions

  1. 1Place a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil. Add ground turkey and use a wooden spoon to break it up. Cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2Add taco seasoning, coriander, oregano and chili flakes. Cook another 3-4 minutes, or until turkey is browned.
  3. 3Stir in chicken broth, salsa, tomatoes, green chilies, onion, bell pepper and zucchini. When boiling, cover, reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes.

  4. 4Serve with cheese, green onions, sour cream and avocado on top*, enjoy!
